Welcoming Congregation Committee

The Welcoming Congregation Committee helps ensure that First Unitarian Church of Rochester is a place where LGBTQ+ people are not just welcomed, but fully included, affirmed, and celebrated.

Grounded in our Unitarian Universalist values, this group works to deepen our commitment to justice, equity, and belonging through education, advocacy, and community-building. The committee helps lead initiatives that support LGBTQ+ inclusion in all areas of church life, from worship and programming to policies and public witness.

Whether organizing events, offering learning opportunities, or partnering with local organizations, the Welcoming Congregation Committee invites the whole congregation to live more fully into our shared commitment to love, dignity, and respect for all people.
