Neighboring Faiths is a world religions program designed to deepen youth's understanding of the dynamic, fascinating, and varied world in which they live. It seeks to broaden their knowledge of humanity and embolden their spiritual search, exploring how each worldview answers humanity's big questions. As part of the program, youth will visit places of worship in Rochester that are important faith-based neighbors and friends of First Unitarian. 

Throughout both semesters, we'll explore how Unitarian Universalist values show up across these diverse traditions, laying important groundwork for the following year, when students enter the Coming of Age program and write their own Credo - a personal statement of belief. This is not a comparative religion course in the academic sense. It nurtures students' perspectives toward other faiths and the people who follow them, while helping them locate their own emerging values.
