Your Pledge

Stefan Jonasson, the UUA's leading voice on responding to growth, visited our congregation in January of this year. He came to help us understand and direct the unique opportunity we are experiencing at First Unitarian. Stefan told us that this congregation, last year, made up 10% of the growth for the denomination at large. We are now the 7the largest congregation in the denomination, up from the 12th largest.

But in the end it isn't really about growth or numbers; it's about empowering people so that they can be the change they wish to see in the world. Our challenge now is to take care of those who are already "in the fold" while continuing to make room at the table for those hungry for our alterntaive values and vision for a well lived life. To achieve both requires great generosity and great love.

We are asking you to tap into the abundance that surrounds you and in gratitude for that abundance give generously for the sake of others. And thanks for giving to this church that holds your heart, and loves you fiercely in return.
