2008-09 Elections

The Nominating Committee is pleased to present candidates for the 2008-2009 Church year. A full slate of candidates is presented; the number of candidates exceeds the number of seats to be filled in every position. The commitment of these candidates to accept the responsibility of governance should be a source of encouragement to all.

Please take the time to meet and speak with candidates who can be identified by goldenrod colored nametags; their statements of candidacy are available below (PDF files). All members are encouraged to vote at the Congregational meeting on Sunday June 1, 2008.

Three members of the Board of Trustees completing their terms this year will be replaced with new trustees. A fourth trustee is being elected to complete the remaining 2 years of a term of a trustee who resigned. It is possible that a fifth trustee will be elected if a current trustee is elected as the President of the Board for the 2008-2009 church year.

By-laws Article 5.2 section (1) specifies that of three elected trustees "At least one of the these three must be a woman and at least one a man."
