Caring: How It Works and Getting Involved

Questionnaires are distributed yearly to ask what Caring Community services congregants are interested in providing for other members. These names are contacted as needs arise in the areas they volunteered by members of the Caring Community in charge of that area. When a new member joins the church, they are also asked to fill out the questionnaire regarding their areas of interest.

The needs of our members and friends are brought to our attention when:

  • A call is made to the Caring Community Group leader or any member of the Caring Community Group, or the church office.
  • Church members let the ministers know that an individual or family may be in need of assistance.
  • A joys and sorrows card is filled out and handed to an usher at a Sunday service.

The person or family in need of help is then contacted to work out the details by the appropriate person in the group or by Jen Crow.

If you would like to volunteer and participate in any of the Caring Community efforts or become involved in the Caring Community Group itself or if you would like to offer an additional idea, please contact the Caring Community Group leader, Linda Hazel by email, or Rev. Jen Crow by email or phone (271-9070).
