Board Business & News

Welcome to the Board Business and News Page. We share the documents at right (some in PDF) to help members better understand our evolving church structure. This is a time of exciting but challenging change at First Unitarian. It is important that all members understand the board's and other leadership's efforts to guide us through that change. As always the board welcomes questions, comments, concerns and hopes!

In December the Board approved a policy giving ministry leaders the authority to determine how best to structure their organizations. The policy, in keeping with the church governance system, gives ministry leaders authority to develop committee structures, teams, and accountability to best meet their objectives. Ministry leaders will issue a report on their organizations; watch for notice in the newsletter and for details in February on this website.

Minutes of meetings of the Board of Trustees are available on request. They may also be viewed in the church office, or you may add yourself to the Board and Church Governance News alert email list.
