| Architect Bernd Foerster once wrote of our front doors that "[t]he first touch of the heavy handles confirms the visual impression that the solid doors are meant to make the visitor conscious of the process of entering. This is characteristic of the building, for any simple act that is performed in it is transformed somehow into its primeval prototype."
Unfortunately, this also meant that the doors were, for some, very difficult to open. |
