Reproductive Rights Task Force
Our Unitarian Universalist values guide us to believe that women are moral agents, endowed with the intelligence, compassion, and the wisdom to make reproductive choices that are in the best interest of themselves and their families. Our task force is dedicated to safeguarding safe and legal access to abortion, increasing access to emergency contraception, and securing comprehensive sexuality education in public schools.
Learn About Out Work
Our task force works year round on reproductive and family justice issues. Our current projects and programs include:
- Continuation of the Condom Project, through which we provide free condoms to the public by placing condom and sexual health information in packets in all church restrooms.
- Coordination of Connect and Breathe, Inc. This talkline provides nonjudgmental support and referrals after an experience with abortion. For more information, please see www.connectandbreathe.org.
- Organizing letter writing campaigns to our legislators on the state and national level; addressing key issues and pending legislation.
- Fundraising for women and family focused community groups. Organizations we have supported in the past include: Planned Parenthood, Rape Crisis Center and Connect and Breathe.
- Fostering education and awareness to the public by sponsoring speakers throughout the year.

We welcome visitors and members alike to help with any of the projects mentioned above and more specific talents are needed for: marketing and grant writing for our 501c3 initiative.
