The following letter from a member of Military Families Speak Out was received in the church office in mid-Summer.
Hi,
I am writing to you about an article written by Tim Louis Macaluso of Rochester-City News on June 28th, 2006 about the toy soldiers campaign with the Bring Me Home Now sign that some of your members of your church have started. I originally read the article listed on MFSO national website.
I think it is a fantastic idea for spreading the message that we need to Bring The Troops Home Now.
As a member of MFSO for over two years and as the wife of an Iraq veteran who served a year in Baghdad, I just want to thank your members for doing this, please let them now how much this means to the families who have to suffer everyday, not knowing if their loved ones will ever return to them. I am one of the luckier ones, my husband is home in one piece, physically.
Whether one supports the war or not, I believe the one thing we all have in common is that we all want our loved ones to come home safe and for most we want the war to end, so the suffering and devastation ends for all the victims of this war and the healing can begin.
True Support for our Troops means bringing them Home Now!
I will spread the message by doing this where I reside in Staten Island, New York. I hope it spreads far and wide.
In Peace and Solidarity,
Debra Anderson
