Come to the first fall meeting of the Rochester Committee on Latin America and hear Joseph Sorrentino speak on "What Drives Mexicans to Risk Death Crossing the Border? (and How the Exodus Has Led to the Feminization of Rural Mexico)" 7 pm Wednesday, September 1, at Downtown Presbyterian Church, 121 N. Fitzhugh St.

Join the Bring Them Home vigils:

Join members of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship at a silent vigil for peace, noon - 1 pm Monday, September 13, in front of the Federal Building, 100 State St. Bring a chair or groundcover if the ground is wet.

Think About Justice:
Hear Dominic Barter discuss the development of the restorative circles model in Brazil and its movement as a social change model around the world in the Thomas Castellano Memorial Lecture, 7 pm Tuesday, September 14, at the Baptist Temple, 1101 Clover St., Rochester. Sponsored by the Rochester Institute of Technology Department of Criminal Justice. Hear:
Listen to Deborah Hughes, Executive Director of the Susan B. Anthony House, speak about the separation of church and state in "There are Snakes in Those Muddy Waters," 7 pm Thursday, September 23, at church, 220 S. Winton Rd. Ms. Hughes will highlight the work of Matilda Joslyn Gage, 19th Century suffragist and advocate for church/state separation.

Hear Col. Ann Wright (Ret.) speak on "Afghanistan: the Need to Dissent" 7 pm Friday, September 24, at church, 220 S. Winton Rd.
