Sites of interest in and near Rochester include the historic Erie Canal, George Eastman House, Memorial Art Gallery, Susan B. Anthony House, Strong National Museum of Play, and several colleges: University of Rochester, Rochester Institute of Technology, National Technical Institute for the Deaf, Nazareth College and St. John Fisher College. The annual Lilac Festival, Rochester International Jazz Festival, and LPGA Tournament take place in the spring. Of special interest is our own church building, designed by architect Louis Kahn in 1959.
